The suffrage historic marker in Long Beach, NY will be relocated

The suffrage campaign marker installed in Long Beach, NY has been taken down temporarily in order to re-install it at a different location in thecity. Patricia Bourne has the marker in her office waiting re-installation. Apparently the sign was too large for the current location.

SuffrageCentennials.com has been publishing since 2013. We were contemplating closing down now that the 100th anniversary was over in 2020. But we have another anniversary coming soon, and it’s an important one. In 2023 US women will have been working for 100 years on an Equal Rights Amendment to the US Constitution.
